This Privacy Policy provides an understanding of how your personal data that you provide to us and that we collect through the mobile application ("SmartHand") is used and protected when you use and access our services available on the application, which consist of listings for service providers in Jordan. The Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you or from other sources when you access and use the application and services will be processed, and we are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. Please read the following carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data and how we handle it.
SmartHand company (الأيادي الخبيرة), Office No. 204, Building No. 67, Khalda, Amman, Jordan, is the controller and responsible for your personal data. The company also ensures regular review of our Privacy Policy; the first version was issued in 2025.
Our business is constantly evolving, so our Privacy Policy may also need to change. The current version of this Privacy Policy is available on the application, and any changes will take effect upon posting on the application; we may also send periodic reminder emails with notifications and terms, but you must check the application frequently for the latest changes. It is your responsibility to regularly review the Privacy Policy; your continued use of the platform after any such changes constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Policy as amended from time to time.

If you use the application and services, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your personal data under this Privacy Policy (which includes all documents you provide to us) and agree to the terms of service applicable to us on the application.

We also use GPS technology to determine your current location. Some of our location-enabled services require your personal data to activate the feature. If you wish to use the relevant feature, you will be asked to consent to the use of your data for this purpose.

If you do not use the platform for twelve months, we will treat the account as expired and your personal data may be deleted.

You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing, where we may have processed your information unlawfully, or where we are required to erase your personal data to comply with local law.
However, please note that we may not always be able to comply with your request to erase for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you if applicable at the time of your request.
- Object to Processing of Your Personal Data:
Where we rely on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground because you feel it impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms.
You also have the right to object where we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your rights and freedoms.
- Request Restriction of Processing Your Personal Data:
This allows you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios:
- If you want us to establish the data’s accuracy.
- If our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it.
- If you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. Please note this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent to us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.

However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will inform you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Sometimes it may take longer than one month if your request is particularly complex or if you have made several requests. In such cases, we will notify you and keep you updated.
Description of categories of personal data
- Identity data: First name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth, and gender.
- Contact data: Billing address, delivery address, email address, and phone numbers.
- Financial data: Bank account details, payment cards, electronic wallets, and CliQ services.
- Service provider data: Title and full name, locations, relevant experience, procedures, spoken languages, accepted payment methods, education and accreditation certificates from governmental and private bodies, experience certificates, as well as certificates of good conduct and no criminal record.
- Transaction data: Includes details about payments from you and to you and financial details within the platform.
- Content data: Includes information stored on your device, including login information, photos, videos, or other digital content, and check-in records.
- Profile data: Includes username, password, order history within the platform, your interests and preferences, feedback, and responses to surveys.
- Usage data: Includes details of your use of the application including, but not limited to, traffic data and other communication data, whether required for our billing purposes or otherwise, and the resources you can access.
- Marketing and communications data: Includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and third parties and your communication preferences.
- Location data: Includes your current location revealed by GPS technology.
